If you are in the mood for a relaxing walk, the Schloss Nymphenburg gardens are the perfect place to stroll, they are free and open to the public.  Tonight we drove down there so the girls and I could walk the grounds while we waited for Bob to return from work.  The gardens are blooming with late summer flowers and the grass is as green as can be.  The grounds are quite extensive and dotted with smaller structures worth visiting, included in the Schloss tour.

The Details
Address: Schloss Nymphenburg 1 80638 Munich  (089) 179 080
Transportation: From Hauptbahnhof (the main train station) take Tram 17 which will drop you off near the entrance of the property.
Cost: free
Time: 1 hour
Tip: take some bread to feed the ducks

The lion represents strength and is a common symbol found in Bavaria.

It is way to easy for my mind to wander...imagining ourselves dressed in period clothing, perhaps a parasol to shade our delicate skin, strolling down these lovely lanes.

Can you see Eden hiding behind the flowers?
