Parc Guell

I totally fell in love with Guadi's art.  Didn't think I would, but I really liked the quirky nature of his building style.  Some of the buildings in the park reminded me of something out of candy land or Hansel and Gretl.  Park Guell was a planned community, but it didn't take off; people didn't like his concept, so eventually it was turned over to the city.

The Details
Address: Carrer d'Olot 5 08024 Barcelona
Transportation: Metro Greenline L3, Lesseps stop.  Exit metro and follow signs towards the park.  It's about a 20 minute walk and the last bit is uphill.
Cost: Free
Hours: 10am-11pm
Time: 2 hours+
This is the museum house you can tour in the park.  There is a fee, but it's worth while to see just what an  Antoni Gaudi  neighborhood would have looked like. Apparently, they only sold 3 properties and the planned community was a failure.
