Munich Monday--Denkmal

My children attend school in a small village called Haimhausen.  The drive out to the school feels like they are in the middle of no where, surrounded by fields.  Certain times of the year, namely spring and fall, are particularly beautiful and I finally remembered to bring my camera to snap a few highlights.
Rapeseed is harvested twice a year in Germany.
It is very common to see "denkmalen" next to fields.  The root word, denken means to think, so these little monuments are places to think or remember.  I love that this one actually provides you with a bench.
